Depending on your experience and padlding skills, kayaks and equipment are available to be used locally in the saltwater bays, estuaries, and freshwater lakes. If you have never taken a kayak safety course, please for safety reasons join us on a guided tour. Rentals are really meant for experienced kayakers or for inexperienced paddlers who are going to one of our warmer nearby lakes. Again, depending on your experience level, some great options for local paddling include Lake Crescent, Lake Sutherland, Lake Ozette (great overnight area,) Dungeness Spit Wildlife Refuge, Freshwater Bay and Crescent Bay.
In addition to kayak rentals, we also have drysuits, wetsuits, boots, and all other equipment related to kayaking.
Are you interested in trying something new? Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boards have become one of the fastest growing watersports; they are great for fitness lake paddling or adrenaline filled surf paddling. A couple of our nearby favorite areas for Stand Up Paddling include the glaciar blue Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park and the sandy beaches of Crescent Bay near Salt Creek Recreation Area.
